The JNG/JET team, led by Chao Li (President of International Business), was honored to meet with Mr. Albin Kurti, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, and Mr. Artan Grubi, the Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia on June 7th and 8th. This meeting took place as part of a delegation formed with our business partners to discuss the energy transition strategy and opportunities in the Balkan region.
Energy security is a critical topic in the Balkan region and plays a vital role in local economic development. Currently, the Balkan area heavily relies on conventional power generation, such as coal and gas, for base load power supply. The regional leaders are actively seeking energy transition solutions that can facilitate a sustainable shift towards a net-zero target. In this regard, we believe that JNG's CCUF technology can provide substantial value by decarbonizing conventional power plants in the area. This technology transforms CO2 into green fertilizer and food, leveraging agriculture as a means to address energy transition challenges with a sustainable business model. Our aim is to establish carbon capture as a self-sufficient industry.
We eagerly anticipate collaborating with visionary leaders and business partners in the Balkan region to explore exciting energy transition opportunities. By providing a comprehensive solution for both energy security and food security, we aim to contribute significantly to the carbon neutrality goal. Together, we can work towards a sustainable future and seize the potential of the Balkan region.
