Stunning debut at the 2025 Carbon Capture Europe Summit, JNG's CCUF Technology Gains Global Attention

JNG | 3 June, 2025

The Carbon Capture Europe Summit 2025 was held at the Royal Tropical Institute of KIT in Amsterdam from April 29th to 30th. This summit brought together over 450 representatives from government, industry and finance sectors. JNG, as a leading enterprise in China's carbon capture field, participated in this event and introduced to the attendees our company's integrated ammonia-based desulfurization and decarbonization with carbon-sulfur-based enhanced-efficiency fertilizer production technology (CCUF), contributing our wisdom to global climate governance.

Carbon capture and utilization is the cornerstone of Europe's strategy to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. As stated in the EU Industrial Carbon Management Strategy, for industries such as steel, cement, electricity, and chemicals that are difficult to reduce emissions, carbon capture is particularly important. These industries must significantly reduce their emissions to achieve climate goals.

To achieve this, the EU has set targets, planning to capture at least 50 million tons of carbon dioxide annually by 2030, increasing the target to 280 million tons by 2040, and to 450 million tons by 2050. Currently, including the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, France and Germany, more than 130 carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) projects are underway. However, some participants also raised some common problems existing in current CCUS projects, such as high operating costs (160-230 euros per ton of CO2), difficulty in selecting storage sites, transportation difficulties, leakage control difficulties, and inadequate government policy support.

Our CCUF experimental project has been operating stably for over three years, which is sufficient to prove the reliability. Moreover, it can generate profits by selling fertilizers so it has excellent economic benefits. Compared with CCUS technology, our CCUF technology has obvious technical advantages and has brought a brand-new solution to the European carbon capture market.

The representative of JNG took the stage at this European summit, confidently presenting the advantages and applications of CCUF technology. During the speech, the audience listened attentively and took photos from time to time. The audience gave two rounds of enthusiastic applause, earning high recognition from global industry professionals.

During the summit, globally renowned companies such as Mitsui Europe, Heidelberg Materials from Germany, Dyckerhoff from Germany, ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) from the United States, and Biorecro from Sweden actively take the initiative to contact and expressed their eagerness to have the opportunity for in-depth exchanges and to reach cooperation with us.

Furthermore, JNG’s participation in this summit has also attracted significant attention from international media. Biomass Markets, a professional media in the field of biomass and carbon markets in the UK, after learning about the breakthrough technological achievements of our CCUF technology, sent us a special interview invitation. The interview will focus on the innovative application and global practical value of CCUF technology in the fields of carbon capture and resource utilization.

At the same time, we also actively communicated with Zilvinas Danys (a senior advisor of the Lithuanian Ministry of Energy), Schwenk from Germany, Harbour Energy from the UK, and Equinor from Norway, to promote our company's technology and seek potential project opportunities.

Participating in this Carbon Capture European Summit is an important measure for our company to expand the international market and enhance industry exchanges and cooperation. Through communication and learning with global peers, we showcased our technical strengths and advantages and achieved excellent publicity effects. At the same time, we also learned about the latest trends and demands in the international carbon capture market, laying a solid foundation for our company to expand overseas markets.
