JNG' s technology accepted by PETRONAS |
Triumphs over 15 desulfurization proposals |
On February 5, 2020, Colin Patrick, technical director of PETRONAS, congratulated the victory and the approval of the technology from Jiangnan Environmental Protection Group Inc. at the meeting held in Petronas Twin Tower. He pointed out that in the quest for an innovative and cost-effective solution to further reduce SOx emission, the efficient ammonia-based desulfurization (EADS) technology proposed by JNG was found to be the most appropriate solution to reduce SOx to more stringent requirements. On February 17, 2020, PETRONAS released the news and winner announcement of JNG’s technology on its official website. (https://www.petronas.com/innovation/technology-challenge#tab2-winners)
To comply with the regulation of the Malaysian government and the requirement of air pollutant emissions from industrial activities (including oil and gas, electricity, waste fuel, and asphalt mixing industries) and to bring a cleaner environment, PETRONAS publicly invites proposals for namely “Thermal Oxidizer Flue Gas SOx Emission Reduction" since September 2019 from the international community.
JNG, a well-known internationally leader of ammonia-based desulfurization technology provider, actively participated in the preparation of the proposal and responded to the requirements of PETRONAS, and finally triumphs over 15 desulfurization proposals from international. Upon comprehensive assessment by a panel of internal subject matter experts in PETRONAS, JNG’s proposal beat other excellent local and international companies to win the technical challenge.
This winning once again proves the superiority of JNG's ammonia-based desulfurization technology and concretes a solid foundation for further exploration in the international market.
